Description: For Earth Day 2010, the Earthtouch Giving Gardens will be hosting a get efficient construction party! The Giving Gardens, behind Cafe Bella on High St, is looking to increase it's efficiency and self sustainability by producing it's own compost and worm castings to supplement the soils used in growing our container garden vegetables.
We will be constructing and learning how to operate a wooden worm bin and a simple compost bin, as well as planting seeds which will be raised and given live through a local food pantry with instructions on how to grow them. With your help, the Giving Gardens can better raise awareness about good nutrition and urban gardening.
How to find us: We will be meeting at Cafe Bella, and will be working in or behind the green house which is located behind Cafe Bella.
